An Art Deco spelter figurine by Gilbert (Danseuse Nº 3),
France c 1930, the gold cold-painted figurine mounted on a
stepped black marble and onyx and base.
This particular figurine probably depicts the actress Louise brooks
(or Colleen Moore, more famous at the time and also having bobbed
hair).
An iconic statue of the Art Deco era, the bobbed hair and classic
pose make for an outstanding sculpture; pure Hollywood!
Photo 7 is Louise Brooks and an original trade photograph from a
1930's Silvin - Paris catalogue.
