Kay Bojesen (1886 - 1958), A Rare Early Pair Of Articulated
Wooden Monkeys made from Rosewood c1951.
The Monkey is perhaps Kay Bojesen’s most well know creation and
is now an iconic piece of Danish design. This pair are made from
Rosewood with light wood detailing (possibly maple or limba wood),
in good vintage condition, there are the odd minor knocks to each
and some fading and it looks as though the elastic holding the limbs
has been replaced at some point. Rare to see one in
rosewood, exceptionally rare to see a pair.
