Vallance Jean Gregson (1911-1992) British. Oil on canvas
titled “Feline Fantasy” c1930’s - A remarkable Abstract
Surrealist painting.
Vallance Gregson lived in Bacup, Lancashire and Church Stretton,
Shropshire and I believe he joined the Royal Artillery in 1938.
Between 1933 - 1938 he exhibited at both The Walker Art Gallery,
Liverpool and the Manchester City Art Gallery.
Condition is good although there is a small hole to the canvas
which is difficult to see from the front (see last photo). The
painting could benefit from reframing.
